Bute Energy has announced plans for its Garreg Fawr Energy Park to the north of Sennybridge.
A very extensive proposal running up from the A40 to the MOD Sennybridge Training Area. 22 wind turbines of 220m height are planned. The connection route to the Towy-Usk pylons line is currently unknown and will be subject to a separate planning application.
Their initial public consultation on the proposal runs from 17th September to 29th October.

Galileo has recently completed its pre-application consultation for the proposed Bryn Cadwgan Energy Park on the Carmarthenshire–Ceredigion border.
This is a large proposal with 19 wind turbines (up to 230m), solar panels, and battery storage. An on-site substation will be located in south-east part of the site, but the method of connection to the grid has not yet been defined.
To facilitate transport for construction a "blade transfer area" is planned by the A40 at Llanwrda.

Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru, an energy company wholly owned by the Welsh Government, is proposing to build three large wind farms on land managed by Natural Resources Wales.
The wind farm sites announced so far are :
Glyn Cothi, near Brechfa in Carmathenshire, with 27 turbines.
Clocaenog Dau, with 22 turbines, near Ruthin and adjacent to the existing RWE wind farm.
Carreg Wen Wind Farm, Rhondda Cynon Taf, to the south of Aberdare, with 18 turbines.
The method of connection to the grid for Glyn Cothi is currently unclear. It will most likely connect to the Llandyfaelog substation, possibly using a new overhead transmision line.

Nant Ceiment has now been officially announced by Bute Energy. The proposal is for up to 13 wind turbines with a tip height of 220m.
The possibilty of a development here has been known for a long time although with no solid confirmation. It has sometimes been referred to as Pencarreg Mountain wind farm. Bute have not yet published a detailed location plan or layout, although preliminary documents have been seen. The site is about 5km south of Lampeter.
It appear to be adjacent to the Towy-Teifi pylon line and would connect via that to the new Llandyfaelog substation, along with the Towy-Usk line.
